Noel is a versatile researcher, engineer, developer, and music educator hailing from the vibrant city of Bangalore, India. With a profound passion for education, music, and technology, he has carved a unique path in academia and research through the MSMT program.
Noel’s research is primarily centered around the development of Intelligent Music Tutoring Systems. His master’s thesis work delves into the application of computational musicology algorithms to craft the “syllabus” of intelligent rhythm pedagogy software. Since coming to Georgia Tech, Noel has also taken the lead on pupillometry research for the lab and has published with Dr. Claire Arthur in the esteemed Journal of Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics.
An avid music lover and experienced percussionist with an interest in electronic music synthesis, Noel has served as a TA for music tech courses, including Survey Of Music Technology and History Of Jazz. Currently, Noel serves as a visiting researcher at the CCML lab, contributing his expertise to further the lab’s research goals. Additionally, he lends his talents to Wizard Electronics as a pro audio technician, showcasing his technical proficiency in the world of audio technology.
Beyond his academic pursuits and musical talents, Noel holds a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Ducks and bubbles hold a special place in their heart. Noel is actively seeking PhD positions for the upcoming fall, eager to continue his journey of innovation and discovery in the realm of music technology and education.
