Alyssa Johnson is a master’s student in Music Technology at Georgia Tech. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Computational Media from Georgia Tech, where she developed a background in technology, design, and interactive media.

Her interests lie at the intersection of music, media, and human experience. She is particularly interested in how music shapes emotion, immersion, and meaning in film and video games, as well as the relationships between music, language, and cognition. She hopes to combine her background in computational media with her interests in music to study how people experience and interact with music across different forms of media.

Outside of research, Alyssa is a singer and dancer and enjoys video editing, graphic design, gaming, and exploring music across different cultures.
