Sanidha
This the homepage of the Sanidha dataset. Sanidha is a dataset of performances of Carnatic Music, a companion to the larger and older Saraga dataset.
The Sanidha dataset is the first open-source Carnatic dataset featuring:
- Studio-quality, multi-track audio recordings with minimal to no bleed.
- High-definition videos of individual artists’ performances.
The name ‘Sanidha’ refers to the svara syllables Sa, Ni, and Dha.
Sanidha is described in detail in the article ‘Sanidha: A Studio Quality Multi-Modal Dataset for Carnatic Music’ published in the Proceedings of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval (2024).
